“Electro-Cobrai. Though they're extremely rare, they're extremely useful.”

The Electro-Cobrai are special mini snake/electric eel hybrids that acted as power sources for both the Nindroid Army and the Digital Overlord. They come from the Ninjago City Aquarium and are very rare. Pythor is the only Serpentine known to have a history of using them.

History[]

Blackout[]

A hooded stranger entered Borg Tower where he uses Electro-Cobrai to reboot the Digital Overlord. The Electro-Cobrai are then used by the hooded stranger and the Overlord to repower the Nindroid Army.

The Curse of the Golden Master[]

The hooded stranger breaks into the Ninjago Aquarium and steals another batch of Electro-Cobrai. They are used to reboot several more Nindroids and later used to power a tracking device inside the Falcon to track Lloyd and Master Garmadon.

Abilities[]

  • Electrogenesis - Electro-Cobrai can generate electricity which can charge anything.

Trivia[]

  • Electro-Cobrai are the first animals whose electricity was used to charge anything. The second is jellyfish, whose electricity was used by Glutinous to charge the Storm Amulet's replica while trying to reawake Wojira.
  • They power the Nindroids using a capsule that is plugged into their backs.
  • Despite Pythor being known to have a history with them, the first time he is seen using them is during Rebooted, implying he used them before the imprisonment of the Serpentine.
  • Their name is a compound, with "electro" meaning "electric," and "cobrai" meaning "cobra" or more vaguely meaning "snake."
  • In the Czech dubbing, they are called "Electro-worms."
